33 Things I Have Learnt in 33 Years... all of them slightly left of profound...
1. God is good all the time all the time God is good.
2. Durban winters are just the most amazing things (whichever angel invented Durban summers should be shot.)
3. I have learnt that red wine truly is the bomb.
4. I have learnt that when we try to fake foreign we all end up sounding French.
5. I have learnt that if there is a fourth member of the Trinity, his name is Roger Federer.
6. I have learnt that just because you might be paranoid does not mean you are not being followed.
7. I have learnt that the things Jesus said are so important, when you think about life, are just so damn obvious.
8. I have learnt that I must try not swear so much, it is inappropriate and unbecoming of a minister.
9. I have learnt that even if I stop swearing so much, I will never be a normal minister.
10. I have learnt that friends are never to be under-estimated.
11. I have learnt that I love my wife – though she can be frustratingly enigmatically unpredictable.
12. I have learnt that this condition is not uniquely my own but is reserved for a rather large segment of our population called ‘Men’.
13. I have learnt that we only have one hope in this whole world and his name is Jesus.
14. I have learnt that God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
15. I have learnt that time flies like an arrow and fruit flies like bananas.
16. I have learnt that family must be appreciated while they are still around.
17. I have learnt that God loves gossiping old grannies who hate change and think they know better.
18. I have learnt that God expects me to also love gossiping old grannies.
19. I have learnt that there all Evil in this world is ruled by two siblings world: the one’s name is fear and his brother is hate.... oh, and their cousin is ignorance...

22. I have learnt that music is just as wonderful as red wine! And that there is only one true football team in this whole wide world.
23. I have learnt that Atheists are some of the most intriguing people on earth.
24. I have learnt that Michael Jackson was truly a genius.
25. I have learnt that being a minister is a tough gig.
26. I have learnt that one day before I die I would like to live in Vancouver Canada in a place called Victoria – and would love for you all to visit.
27. I have learnt that you can waste your life always wanting to be somewhere else.
28. I have learnt that no matter how hard I try I will always be a rubbish surfer.
29. I have learnt that I really love my wife, as frustrating enigmatic and unpredictable.
30. I have learnt that my favourite place in the world is a silly little South Coast town called Southbroom and I don’t know why I love it so much.
